LMFAO! She Tried to be Vegan...
Raised on Pork Chops, Ribs and Fried Chicken, oh and Vanilla Ice Cream too!
What is with the ‘V’ word these days?
No not that word, get your mind out of the gutter. I am talking about the word ‘Vegan’, as in no animal-derived foods being consumed or used by people! So why did she try to be Vegan? And… Who is the she I am referring to?
First. Who is ‘SHE’?
Yes. Let me clear that up first! The ‘She’ I am referring to, that tried to be ‘Vegan’, is me. The author. Why am I referring to me in the third-person? To change the perspective. If “I” were to just write about me as “I” all of the time, people may think I am… Well you know! Whatever you are thinking about me, (I) right now! Come on.
#2. Why is the title about trying to be ‘Vegan’?
WELL? That is exactly it, wellness. She was seeking wellness, and ended up at this moment of having a ‘Vegan’ diet. For the most part. WTF? How come for the most part?
You see. She started off cutting out red meats and pork. Next the ‘Gluten’ went bye-bye, along with any processed foods. Than, she attempted to put alcohol on that list. Didn’t happen. After that, sugar was on the chopping block. Followed by dairy, but not homemade ice cream. She than got around to checking off that alcohol for good. Still fiddling with the sugar for five years, check. That meant Ice cream too, finally. Leaving the only animal-based foods to remove: poultry and fish! How is that?
So #3. Because I am Laughing My F*cking Arst off…
Here we had a meat-eating, greasy fried chicken-wing munching, frozen moo-juice loving, crack-white sugar dealing entrepreneur gal, that encounters seriously painful digestive issues, and never wants to be sick again, so… She thinks the solution is to become a ‘Vegan’!
O’kay! We know ‘Gluten’ is vegan, but it ain’t that beneficial for the gut. Glue’N-up pathways and vessels that are supposed to be transporting the nourishment around the body. Had to eliminate that. Ultimately, does this sound like someone you know! Exactly! Again. LMFAO!
At #4. How Did She Get That Far Away From the Program?
A little birdie told her, go at the body (Secret Energy). Insinuating that by making drastic changes to one’s diet and lifestyle habits with the intention of… Wellness in mind. She could attain optimal health. Remember, she never wanted to be sick again. That was her goal.
The reason she got so far away from her engrained childhood eating habits is because ( I am still laughing! ), she had a greater want and intention of being at optimal health then she had at dealing with serious digestive issues. And that works, for her… (You too, if you believe it!)
5th & Final. How do ‘Vegans’ get enough protein?
The MYTH! Every body has a unique elemental recipe. No two people have the same alchemical formula, thus, to think that every body needs the same thing that you need is ludicrous. (Move out my way!) I must add, that research about protein synthesis, goes much further than doing a web search, or just reading the health column of a commercialized mass-media newsletter.
I, oh wait, she was only vegan for about a years time. In that time, she learned that she can survive without consuming animal proteins. It may have been a challenge due to OPI other people’s ignorance, but she did it. Not to mention, learning about many other plant-based protein choices available.
A list of plant-based Proteins, she eats:
Spinach
Chia Seed
Hemp Seed
Alfalfa Sprouts
Bok Choy
Lentils
Black/White/Mung Beans
Quinoa
Cauliflower/Broccoli
Nutritional Yeast
Almonds
Chick/Green Peas
Most nuts (except Peanuts)
Soy (Almost never)
Tempeh (Have not tried yet!)
Asparagus
Not in that order. Of course there are more then on this list. Take note of the variety and diverse types of plants that contain protein. Considering proteins make up the base structure of most living bodies, or what we label as life. Surely it has some proteins within it. Not gonna get gold out of an apple, or prune juice from a lump of coal!

May be some protein out of something made of proteins…

Closing the post:
“I” laugh about it now because, when she started this elimination process, she had no idea that she would never actually be sick again, or to put that into the positive. She has been so healthy in the last ten years since starting this new lifestyle of eating habits, that she has been free of doctor’s visits, and free of any kind of pharma items since.
And the only three ‘Ill Days’ was when she got poisoned by some high fructose corn syrup in Cashew brittle; Fun-fetti Cup Cakes, and a Blueberry Cake Doughnut she ate from… (Damn deep fried ‘Gluten” and/or crack-white sugar and natural flavor chemical mix-ins!)
