Preparing for the Season!

With that, I am inviting future urban bred gardeners to join the festivities and let’s get together to build a gardening community.

No one has to move, unless you need to. We can all do this from our current space and I will be able to guide any newbies about how to get started. Today!

After we connect that is…

If we all grow some plants and have great success with it, now we all can share our abundance with each other and anyone willing to travel here with the intention to support the community.

I know people have been saying that for decades, I’ve heard them! However, now we actually need to implement this plan of action and collaborate.

Research, get seeds and prepare the soil. Or land if you are starting with raw Earth!

That is essentially what I did in 2018. There is also a greenhouse involved but, I assure you, you do not need a greenhouse…

Why not yet?

It would be wise to learn the foundational basics first, unless you already have a green house to use. My two cents to that is, I had been through a Farming Apprenticeship and a year of a self-enforced internship process before 2018.

I learned the basics with an experienced farming expert on an operational farm and CSA business. So when I got the greenhouse it was planned into the project. I actually did some container gardening in Las Vegas in 2012 on the patio and it worked out really well. I had a mister irrigation set-up and everything…

Final Connecting Point!

If we could do it all by ourselves… We would all have our own planet!

Imagine that, the whole planet to yourself! That would be weird.

No influencers. No manipulation. No internet…

Wellllll, perhaps we could chat with others on different planets!

LOL!

This clip is from a song, technically the first EDM song I made using MIDI for the class assignment. (Sometime in Spring of 2024.) Another audio track for my portfolio!

After learning how to structure the beats, instruments and use the basic features in Ableton. I was ‘able’ to create this EDM style song on my own.

Of course, I have a background in Electronic music as a dancer and club-hopper from the late 90’s and early 2000’s. So this class assignment was such a joy to do and I am planning to make more in this style.

In this song, you hear the vocals are distorted. This story line is from a Sci-fi audiobook recording that I originally made in 2021, ‘Our Garden Spaceship’. You can find an edited audio copy here: Our Garden Spaceship article.

I wanted to use as many original sounds as I could possibly find in my own library. Some of the effects sounds are from a friends audio library with rights to use them for non-commercial purposes.

This is an extended version of what I turned in for the class assignment which was about 3 mins.

After this final assignment was turned in, I went back and made this version by duplicating, and adding or subtracting sections to make it more of a real EDM type song instead of a quick listen.

Progress is a long-term tactic!!

Learning the structure of when to add more sounds and instruments is not complicated. The classic 8 or 16 bar theory works wonders. I obviously have much more to learn and practice with this style of audio and MIDI creation.

I have since taken a brief beat production course after graduating from school. I am also aware that there are multiple techniques, styles, methods and versions of learning how to make beats.

And this is the conundrum!

So many options leads to broken progress, at least from my experiences.

Having one mentor to follow or model is key when venturing out on self-learning courses. Meaning, teaching yourself how to do something in private, on my terms and at my own pace.

As for this song, glad the instructor was very experienced on the topic and has plenty of real-life lessons to share.

I am posting this to share my music creation skills.

The assignment was for Game Audio class, choose one of the video game clips provided by our instructor.

We had to create original music that fit the ‘Heighten State’ audio clip.

I chose this clip because I have some animal sounds that I could distort and layer over stretched native flute music that I had recently recorded. I used other instruments to layer in and provide a dark eerie drone sound.

An out of sync screeching-type beat made a creepy blend to patch empty spaces.

I wanted it to sound out of sync, kind of like you were lost at sea and had no other choice but to face the fear around the corner.

I feel like it fits well with the clip and suits the situation at hand.

If you listen to this with headphones on, you will experience the panning details better. May be listen to it in your car pumped up as well, while parked and no engine running of course…

The Diagnosis!

These symptoms are essentially the signs of poisoning. Our resilient bodies were created with a security monitoring system, which sounds off when toxicity levels peak and many people ignore this life-saving mechanism.

WHY?

All I can say is lack of knowledge, or avoidance of embarrassment, which is contradictory because if you ignore the symptoms often enough.

You could wind up in an ambulance like I did one year. Not because I was over drinking, but because I had ignored these symptoms many times before this one time.

My liver had had enough.

What to Do First!

First, I want you to accept that you have been guided down someone else’s trail through the trenches, over the barbed-wire fence, and into the predator’s lair… As in lier. (a person or thing that lies, as in wait or in ambush.) Sounds terrible, I know. However, it is this very act of accepting the truth that gets one out of the trenches, before it’s too late…

Since you know the plan, you are able to navigate knowing there is an ulterior motive which is not of our best interest. Your best interest is your choice. You should be the one to make your destination be what ever the HELk you want it to be, knowing that you have the chance to avoid these other traps and barriers by pure will and knowledge from every source available to you.

When I was homeless after this event, because my employer terminated me, because the original doctor didn’t want to accept her role in mis-diagnose of the thyroid, I just thought FINE, I will heal me. And so I did.

Did I mention it has been ten years since I have needed a doctor for a sickness or being ill!

I am not able to say that I have not experienced some ill symptoms in that time frame, but I can say that I was capable and that I am still capable of nullifying any of these sickly people symptoms and/or ailments. What ever you want to call them.

For over tens years I have been sharing with people about what I learned from studying myself. There was this point, when I stopped blaming everyone and everything else around me and focused on what I was doing.

At this very moment, I am studying my self. I have been struggling with what other people may think about me or say if I were to share the truth about the encounters I had with medical doctors and the BS going on with the health care industry.

I do care about what people say and think, only I care that they get the truth and correct the lies that are false beliefs directing them into the predator’s lair. Swiftly people go when they are desperate or in fear of death. Afraid that the emerging issue will kill them, next week.

We all have to depart this plane, eventually. I think it’s more like a spaceship then a plane with wings. Anyway, I sense that you catch my drift/draft.

Closing With This Final Task!

Be diligent with your findings about your self. Learn to discipline your self, according to your own will. Behave in the most harmonious acts that you can, with wisdom from you learning how to navigate in relation to the skills, talents and equipment you have on-board with you. Currently!

Know that we are in a constant state of growth. We make a choice to improve our growth by evaluating our actions, and mannerisms which shape the environment around us.

When I made the choice to move to Las Vegas, it changed my environment. When I accepted the termination for work, I changed my environment. When I choose to became the Ayurvedic LifeStyl’ist, I changed your environment.

Vegas was Vegas, I had to adapt to that frequency and learn to live the party/night life.

When the job ended, I could have gotten another one. Instead I moved on and healed myself. Once I mastered myself, I made a choice to share this wealth of wellness.

Now that I am putting this info into the ‘cloud’, it has changed your environment because I am no longer keeping silent.

To post about my experience gives others the strength to also share and live in truth.

Perhaps the reason we were told lies in school and from the church or governments, was to see how many of us could actually correct ourselves in order to get out of the box.

You know how some people always make you feel like it’s the end of the WORLD!

Well Guess What? We Are Still Here…

I have to explain where this is coming from, obviously. I have been experiencing grief, if you want to call it that. My mom passed away last May, and I am still feeling the effects/affects of her transition event. This is not a sad story, as I am joyful that she has left me with much love and many pleasant memories.

I just want to point out the amount of attention that is given to the idea of Death. The medical industry is constantly working to keep as many of us alive as possible. They have emergency rooms, pharmaceuticals, ‘doctors’, and even quick-care clinics to ensure the longevity of the people. But, how do we know they are sincere in this ‘act of kindness’ we regard as healthcare.

If you take the time to calculate how much time people are spending at a doctors office for a check-up visit or just to deal with a minor injury, there has to be years of people’s time being spent in these locations.

I prefer to be out in nature in-joying the breeze on my skin, rather than sitting in an enclosed structure full of human samples waiting for transport to another enclosed structure to be apart of an experimental report.

They Call That Health Care?

‘Health Care’! Let’s herd sickly people into a refrigerated box and make them tell us about what issues (symptoms) they are experiencing, so we can try to figure out which of our scientific methods will work to suppress their issues for the longest amount of time, before they figure out that we don’t have a f*cking care in the world to actually cure/heal them, as long as we get paid.

If you think that is an offensive statement, you should try asking people whom have been under a physicians care for ten plus years, taking orders from them and putting poison into their body with the intention to heal a dis-ease which would surely be much more manageable if they would actually study themselves and corrected the habits that caused their dis-ease in the first place…

I type from experience. I used to have multiple ailments and ill-symptoms that made me go ‘CON’sult with doctors about my own issues.

What Had Happened Was…

I had spent just over a year’s time, consenting to have them do tests and run experiments on me for them to collect data about my body fluids and mental functions, even private stuff like my sex life etc. All kinds of questions they would ask, or should I say survey me about at any given visit to their fridge bio-storage closet.

When I was given an absurd diagnose about what they think I had, I had had enough.

But what really confirmed my suspicion, was when the endocrinologist had one session with me to draw some blood and study my behaviors, along with my accumulated chart from the year of testing with the other doctors. She, after one month was certain that I did not have any medical issue other than a vitamin D deficiency and maybe I needed to adjust my lifestyle habits.

Which I did calibrate my lifestyle habits and get some vitamin D.

There you have it. A doctor, or a medical professional that told me the truth instead of fabricating a diagnose just to prescribe drugs so they (the doctor) can get paid a kickback from the pharma company that makes the drugs. Long term use is their goal. Imagine the medical industry actually curing cancer or healing people with Alzheimer’s. That would be absurd!

There would be no more need for charity fundraisers. No more saint you know who foundations. None of these elite secret societies throwing silent auction balls and galas to raise awareness for blah blah syndrome.

Not all doctors are out to get extra cash in their back pockets… For the most part, many people think they are helping by prescribing meds, treatments, etc. But because they have been guided on to a similar trail, just as the others have, they are not aware of the dangers ahead. The only difference is, this trail goes up wind from the predator’s lair. Both terminate out of sight!

Can You Imagine NEVER Being Sick Again!

I CAN!

I have been extremely healthy for the last ten years ever since that endocrinologist told me that my thyroid was healthy and not imbalanced as the other ‘doc’ had reported. I was taking thyroid medicine to correct an imbalance that was null.

I know many other people that have dealt with a similar issue, and I know people that are currently dealing with it. I must say to you, STOP DEPENDING ON SOME BODY ELSE! You can do it for your self, if you can accept that you have the power to be at Optimal Health.

This was a very significant era for my mental focus. I was instructed by professionals in the music industry that have years of experience in Nashville, Los Angeles and even Canada. (and other places…)

One of my instructors has a Grammy!

Also, I wanted to keep my focus on how inspired I felt while going through the audio program. Everyday was a joy to go to class because I got to learn more about music production, sound design, and engineering at live events.

I am so glad I had the opportunity to experience this in the flesh. Being able to physically use the equipment and join other audio-loving people, had to be the greatest lesson of all. Engaging with a diverse range of talented artist and producers truly opened my eyes to the possibilities beyond my own creativity.

Collaborations are a key component when projects are made to honor all aspects of the industry’s skills. The kind of communication and interaction required for a professional grade production says a lot about integrity and synergy.

My final note about my audio schooling experience is I accept that this happened for me at the perfect time in my life. It was after I had been a young adult living the nightlife in Las Vegas, and I had plenty of space to mature after that as a small business operator selling herbal tea and produce.

Not only can I produce food, I can produce music just as well.

For anyone interested in going into the music or audio industry, I highly support attending a professional (audio) tech institute, like SAE, the School of Audio Engineering. The specialization and focus on the skill to be attained is deeply appreciated. As many know, the traditional university multi-subject path is fading away. The idea of spending that much time to diversify can be invested a better way.

Most people think that being healthy is about eating salads and running daily or swimming and scarfing down loads of protein. That is not what health is about.

From my own experiences, health is about the lifestyle and all of the things you get to eat that actually provide you nutritional value when you consume it. The feeling of being full and well nourished after eating the main meal of the day.

The way your body generates energy and vigor. All of the tasks that you plan to attain each day. The beauty and smoothness of your flawless skin. The lack of commercial make-up because your natural beauty is beyond foundation. It is the foundation!

The way your strong flowing hair shines in the sunlight and protects your scalp and eyes from the glaring rays. The perfect 20/20 vision and vibrant clarity you have about your views and perspective of life. The memory recall that aids you at every moment you think about something, past and present.

How your organs are functioning at optimal performance and you are able to climb mountains, or play ball in the field with your children. How you love to take the dog for a run in the park and throw the frisbee. How your posture compliments the furniture and draws attention to your grace.

The elegance of being able to move your body in dance and twirl on the ballroom floor, or reach for that next yoga pose while the ocean breeze fondles your sleeves and leg cuffs gently against your blemish-free skin.

Imagine how you are able to afford to do all of these things because you no longer have astronomical health care cost looming over your head. For once you can take a true breath of fresh air, while on a cruise in the Caribbean.

Imagine being able to go on a multi-country European travel for over two or three months with all of the money you saved because doctor visits are rare and your healthy body has no need for pharmaceuticals that confuse your immunity and disrupt your neurological signals sent to alert you of potential ailments or dis-ease… I can go on!

This video title says it all. I can only add that since I have implemented these hygiene methods, spa day and grooming time is much more fun.

I recall as a child hating the dentist and brushing my teeth was a challenge because the toothpaste was not my most favorite flavor. Now, I use an all natural anise toothpaste which if soooo fresh that I have to keep it in the refrigerator.

Awesome!

Needless to say, since I removed processed sugar from my life. The dentist is an almost never visit. In fact, the last time I went to a dentist was to get 5 amalgam fillings removed!

Quick background on this: I was in school last year for audio, and while doing a homework assignment in the studio. A friend of mine (Vedo) was in the next studio making this track. I came out to take a brief break and drink some water. He seen me in the hallway and opened the door to invite me in for a listen. Next thing I know, my humble critiques turned into a recording session.

Homework still got done, and we had a new uplifting empowering inspirational song.

How about we start with a place that needs food and you are willing to live there long-term. That is what I find to be the most important aspect of building a #FoodForest

Why else would anyone choose to do such a laborious task in the first place…

Also, building a food forest in a place that already has a natural food forest would be erroneous. It’s an error because the food is already growing and you/me, i.e. we have no intention of competing with nature when it comes to a natural forest in a climate and environment that already has a native forest.

Now on to the real ‘meat’ as mentioned in the Bible. Food and medicines are plant life. The meat you eat comes from animals that eat plants, correct! So, without the plant kingdom, we humans are not eating much meat. Unless you know how to extract enough nutrients and minerals from the air and water without consuming the plant-based food. You may be a plant!

I get a good chuckle out of people that are afraid to eat a plant-based meal. Every body is designed with their own specific genetic recipe. Even siblings can be slightly different, plus culture has a huge effect on what people choose to eat on a regular basis.

When I was growing up, I ate a lot of pork and chicken… and candy! However, today I ate all plants and no meat what so ever. The candy option has been exhausted due to it’s detrimental side effects after consumption. The reason I teach about a plant-based lifestyle is because I have had all of the positive health affects and wellness prosperities imaginable.

In that, I have been using my time to design a vision of a place that can be enhanced by a food forest idea. Similar to that in the desert image above, it will be greener, abundant and attractive to wildlife. Since we are capable of building such miraculous structures and comforting living spaces. I see an opportunity to articulate my expression of joy, vibrancy and love for the life I have experienced thus far.

Taking a desert landscape and transforming it with moisture and nutrients has a tendency to become a sanctuary for the wildlife living near by. I am fully aware that by doing this, I can potentially attract rattle snakes and mice. These two will cancel each other out and that is the point. The same with insects, lizards with be ready to feast. The basic laws of nature are at play here, and with the knowledge that I may encounter those harmonious creatures. I have respect for them and their space.

I suspect birds will be stopping for a drink or to bathe in a fountain of water about the gardens. They too eat insects and may be some berries if I leave them exposed… The aid of nature will aid my pest control efforts or lack thereof!

What Can I Grow in the Desert Climate?

At my previous garden space, I was able to grow over 50 different types of plants, herbs, vegetables and fruit. Recently, I was able to eat some fresh grapes, pears, and raspberries at this same location. I have moved on, so the garden has not been tended but the orchard area is on irrigation and has been thriving, basically wild.

I will list some of what I had growing:

• Kale

• Swiss Chard

• Spinach

• Milk Thistle

• Hibiscus

• Artichoke

• Cucumbers

• Tomatoes (grape, cherry and normal sizes)

• Peppers (sweet, mild and hot)

• Melons (water, lemon drop, cantaloupe)

• Mints (spear-, pepper-)

• Catnip (That didn’t last long after I put it outside… had Feral Cats!)

• Purple Potatoes

• Red Onion

• Sunflowers

What is the End Goal?

To be able to have fresh produce when ever I need it. Technically I already have that. I just have to travel somewhere to get it…

For real! The end goal is having a healthy thriving garden space that not only feeds me. It should be capable of feeding a community of people and animals. I suppose chickens and ducks may be part of the eco-space too. Other pet birds could be of good company as well. However, any four-legged companions are yet to be confirmed.

A job that I had before I was old enough to drink was at a pet store in the mall. Back then, I didn’t know what puppy mills were and I came to learn about them while working there.

Pet stores have a high level of responsibility involved. You have the employees, customers and all of the animals to care for. That is how I learned about true responsibility and taking the initiative to do what no one else wants to do. After four years of growing up the ‘corporate ladder’ to store manager from animal care, I realized there are some crazy obsessed people in that industry. Good people too, like me.

SIDE NOTE: I would screen potential pet owners to make sure they would actually care for their pet once they got them home. If I felt they were just making up stories about having a new addition, I would quote a really high price and they always declined after that. Not to gouge people. That proved they were not ready for the responsibility. Pet owners love their pets as a family member and their is no cost to high, usually. I say that to point out, I had pets (ferrets) for about ten years after that. They had what they needed and I played with them, took them places with me, and they were happy (I believe) until they passed on.

Responsibility and Accountability!

When I actually start building this project, I realize that I have to be that. Responsible and accountable. I do plan to have others join me from time to time, and only if they to are that, responsible and accountable. Planning the course of action takes knowledge and comprehension of what needs to take place. The activities that one must do on a consistent basis until progress is visible and obvious.

From there, change is always happening, so adaptability is key along with flexibility. Since I have done this desert to food forest process before. I have wisdom on the topic and my past experience is a guide to the future.

Some things will be predictable, however life is always unknown until it happens. Plans can be over written, adjusted and totally nullified. My goal is a food forest and I will do what ever I need to do to reach that goal. Plenty of milestones between and many to come after that.

And with that I am out!

I am grateful for your interest in Utah. It has been a grand experience for me, being that I moved here over 5years ago. I had no idea that I would choose to stay, long-term.

As I mentioned in the video, Cedar City measured to be at 5,846 ft. above sea level. Las Vegas is just over 2k ft. above sea level and I lived there for over ten years.

Both are desert climate, Cedar is high-desert while Vegas is lower desert. At any rate, it can get over 90+ degrees for several days in both locations. Obviously, Las Vegas will stay hot well over three digits for the entire summer season, while Cedar may only get to three digits for a few days mid-summer season.

I compare these two locations because I lived in these climates for multiple seasons, and I really enjoy these natural ecosystems.

I am working on a video project to promote my gardening perspective and skills for people seeking to hire me as their GuarDinner to transform their barren yard to one that is thriving, full of organic life and joyful food for their family.

I started with this gardening ‘bug’, in Las Vegas, which was actually my calling to share the wealth of wellness via gardening to nurture the plant-kingdom, and traveling as well.

Not many people can say and show proof of transforming a desert landscape to a thriving mini-food forest in the back yard. With successful desert-gardening projects under my belt, I am prepared to share this skill and thus be a catalyst to get the sland moving…

I want to add, this greenhouse is still standing however, not used my me any more. I have upgraded to seeking my own land and building a more sustainable design for long-term year round usage. No plastic bubble wrap needed. This was my first time to do gardening in a winter with over 7-mths of below frost temps. Yes, the greenhouse was heated for that time period as well, with a wood stove or electric space heater. You can find similar items by clicking links!

To be frank, I would like some support! The issue with these past desert-garden projects is none of them where on my own property. So, I have yet to see long-term growth results over three-years. There was only one case which I had unlimited access to, and that was the ‘Our GuarDin Space’.

Ultimately, with my own land there is more to do in this area than meets the eye. I would have time to go hiking up in the mountains while the garden grows, plus helping other people transition their garden space would minimize the amount of loose sand and dust in the region.

By the way, many festivals happen in Utah such as the Sundance Film Festival in multiple places in Park City. There is a Hot Air Balloon event but I don’t recall when that happens. I just remember seeing a lot of balloons fly over the garden one glorious shining day.

Also, Strawberry Days, Moab Folk Festival, Shakespeare Festival, St. George Art Festival, Bryce Canyon Winter Festival, and the Sheep… herding down Main Street. Coming up real soon, Saturday, October 25th, 2025, in Cedar City.

A job vs Self-Employ, many people pursue both, maybe not at the same time or yes exactly at the same time…

So for me! I have begun to share more information about the Herbin Bread GuarDinner Domane series and I feel more people are seeking this type of lifestyle. I could be bias!

When 2020 plandemic set in and the billions of people that used to roam freely were all told that they had to stay home. I was sure people would be ready to calibrate their lifestyle and start eating healthy foods.

That was a miscalculation.

What actually happened was I got focused on my own well-being and was grateful for being so healthy that I could visit friends with the cold and flu symptoms, bringing them some of my healing herbal teas.

Eventually I recognized that I had a deeper trauma to heal within me. Ancestral trauma and generations of my family members being suppressed, put down and degraded to the point of surrender. It took the event of my Mom passing nearly three years ago for me to see this issue. The issue is ME!

I had inherited these energies from mom and dad, passed on from their moms and dads, and back about seven generations. We all have a task to heal but I was not aware of what skeletons Mom/Dad had in their closet until after she passed, he is still alive and kicking.

They could have been nullified but she refused to heal with me and now I am feeling the maternal trauma she neglected to heal.

What does this have to do with a job vs Self-Employed?

I want to honor our ancestors by acknowledging this issue we all may choose to heal when we are aware of it. I got so much healing and loving energy when I was nurturing my garden for three years in Utah. It was such a joy to go to the market and talk to my friends and educate visitors about the herbal teas I made and the produce that I grew.

I love this type of Self-Employ.

A grand combination, gardening, audio engineering, and wellness. The garden fresh homemade meals produce essential nutrients for the body to be in wellness. And the music is how we all connect to the rhythmic heart beat of our earthly flesh. The soil. Our body. This life. This is the wellness…

Not sure what else I’m supposed to do to connect with people, other than be me.

In a job, I do that but at some point I get the feeling that it is time to move on. While Self-Employed, I just upgrade my services when it is time to grow and move further into my experience. So, which wins?

If you have had time to read or watch some of my blog posts and articles. You will know that I am an advocate of a plant-based lifestyle. Basically, I eat more vegetables and leafy greens than any other food item. Rarely I will eat wild salmon/ sardines or poultry but, I can be totally vegetarian or even vegan if I need to be.

On my recent travels to Coachella…

I stopped at a restaurant to eat on my way back to Nashville. Initially I had a coupon to get a discount however, they politely told me upon being seated that this was a false contract. The server proceeded to explain that someone had falsely added them at a sister address but he mentioned they do not accept any coupons.

I politely accepted and continued my order. I had a taste for what I was seeking and I planned to eat there coupon or not!

So, Where Did I Eat This Vegetarian Meal While Traveling!

I eat a whole lot of Indian cuisine and other Asian style foods. So, I went to Gopuram in Oklahoma City, which is just a short distance off the I-40. This location is on South Meridian Avenue, in fact you can see it from the interstate as you pass by. That’s how close it is and, that means you can get back on the road sooner!

Most Indian restaurants have a vegetarian menu that is separate from the non-vegetarian menu items. They are listed on different pages and it is very clear what these items are. So, no need to be worried about asking the server a bunch of questions about the ingredients. By the way, we can just search anything online so that is a thing of the past. I do it all the time before I even visit the restaurant. And that is how I know which restaurants have a good selection of vegetarian dishes plus good quality ingredients.

On to what I ordered…

Samosas (above), Paneer Saag with rice and a butter naan / cilantro naan, oh and a green tea to aid digestion.

In this video, I give some details about the menu items I ate while in travel.

UPDATE: I really like paneer so much that I had no idea how it was made so, I did some research before I posted this article. Boy was I ignorant on this topic… Paneer is a fresh Indian cheese, that is made from curdled milk (no rennet) which is why its lovely texture is a bit firm like ricotta. Unlike other cheeses Paneer has three distinct characteristics. One is it does not melt. The second is it’s a soft cheese, and the third is it’s an unaged cheese which is also unsalted. Making it totally unique to all other cheeses. In Indian cooking, paneer is intended to be eaten with herb-infused sauces and spicy curries. Go figure, I knew there was a reason why I love this Saag Paneer dish.

Yummy meal!

I have to mention that I dine out at Indian restaurants often. Considering I am plant-based, I tend to search specifically for vegetarian dishes. This particular dish rated high compared to two other locations where I order the Saag Paneer. The plus at this restaurant is they added fresh herbs to the Jasmine rice where as at the other locations, they only serve plain basmati rice with the entrée.

Also, I really enjoyed the Chili/Cilantro Naan Bread. With a hint of fresh leaves added on top of the naan bread, this gave a delicious flavorful bite of soft fluffy naan. The Butter Naan was just as tasty and full of buttery flavor. I ordered both because I had never seen a cilantro naan and I am very glad I ordered two since I nearly ate a whole serving with the meal.

Just to note, I was ordering for dinner too. Although I usually order this much food for my self, because I can, and it’s very efficient when I have to focus on the road…

Anyway, I plan to stop at Gopuram the next cross-country travel via the I-40. That is how good the food is/was! I am making plans already.

Final plant-based reference is that yes, you can find vegetarian meals and restaurants that cater to our plant needs while in transit. My tip is to seek cuisine that are culturally vegetarian or devoid of animal juices, and you shall find exactly what you are looking for!

So, what kind of test can you do without a medical doctor?

First I have to tell you about how I was able to learn this technique and why it works. Essentially I was in training to become an Ayurvedic Doctor. If you don’t know what Ayurveda is, go do a quick search and come back…

Nearly 15 years ago, I had a stabbing abdominal pain that started very random and mute but, over the length of 12 months. The stabbing pain became a violent gut removal body blow that caused me to double-over and sit down until the pain subsided.

Little did I know at the time, this violent pain was the feeling of the meal I had just ate, coming into direct contact with my unprotected intestinal liner. If you have taken the time to learn about how our digestive system works. You know that there is a layer of mucus coating the inside of our intestines. This mucus layer acts as a cushion barrier keeping the inner contents moving smoothly inside our full bellies.

Eventually, the waters are extracted from these contents still in need of final digestion. As that happens, things can get rough in there. (brief explanation.)

So, I was feeling all of this as it got worst over the year and at some point I stopped eating. That’s called fasting, only not on purpose but out of necessity and fear of more pain.

Fast-forward about another year, three different medical doctors gave me three very different diagnose about my stabbing pain issue. None of them were correct.

Since western medical doctors don’t do this test that I am going to tell you about. They will never know if your were healthy or, obviously, they can’t tell you that because it would be bad for business.

ON TO THE TEST!!

In Ayurveda, there is a very through examination of all body parts via visual observance and by pulse. There are more detailed stuff too but, the most obvious way to see if you are healthy or not is by looking at you. However, that is NOT the test that I am talking about.

I learned how the body has a way of regulating by using the pH scale. Is your body more alkaline or are you nurturing an acidic environment?

The difference here is an alkaline environment is natural for the healthy body cohabitants to live and breath better, while an acidic environment fosters breeding for the unnatural and unhealthy cohabitants to thrive.

Which is what happened to me inside my digestive tract. Poor pH levels over time eroded the mucus liner and contributed to leaky gut as well. (Which I fixed by using Ayurvedic methods I learned.)

Low pH, low health status, higher pH better conditions. Not to say you’re gonna die with a low pH. Scientist and studies show that homeostasis is better supported at neutral or slightly above 7, on the alkaline side. Too high for too long can cause some serious health issues too.

So don’t go jumping into the high pH 9’s and 10’s. High pH can burn the skin and innards just as well and acid.

My point here is the test. Do regular pH tests on your saliva and urine, plus with the aid of a medical doctor you can get the pH of your blood. See they do have a purposeful job those western doctors. Surely if I get in an accident and need medical attention, please take me to the emergency room if necessary.

Regularly testing your pH, saliva and urine, once a day or once a week can help you stay balanced. This way if you get off balance you are quicker to correct the issue. Now what to do about having a low pH for a long period of time…

I have to say I found out about this only last year and I was like…

Wish I had known about it sooner.

Apparently this has been going on for several years now.

WHAT? In Colorado. Yes, that is what I said.

When I lived in Las Vegas, my roommate and his friends went to Red Rock amp. for a rave type music festival. I had to work unfortunately, and I wasn’t invited… I was a girl.

It was a guys trip! Whatever.

Despite that situation, I have yet to make it out to this beautifully scenic amphitheater scalped into the red rocks. Perhaps early spring in 2026. I can plan on having my Spring-Break vacation there.

A few travel tips for you if you are going to Yoga on the Rocks!

• Make sure you keep an eye out for snakes and scorpions.

• Also, have plenty of hydrating water available.

• Use unrefined coconut oil for a natural sunscreen. ( I use Dr. Bronner’s )

• If you need to, you can eat some coconut oil for nourishment.

• Be sure to have a sturdy backpack that can handle the rocks.

P.S. If you need a serious backpack, I recommend Osprey brand. I got one in 2020 and it is still like new. I travel with it hiking and to the gym. It fits my laptop and travel audio equipment for when I edit my videos in the hotel room. Plus, this brand is supportive of the environment.

Anyway, back to the red rocks.

I actually drove though Denver in late 2021 before my mom passed away. That was the first time I had driven over the Rockies and cross-country on I-70. It was a beautiful travel till I got to about Missouri.

No comment.

No wonder people from there call is ‘misery’. I didn’t stop to find out nor did I have time. My return was a day from the first snow storm for the Rockies. The following evening after I made it back to Cedar City, Utah, the Rockies got slammed with the entry of the winter season.

Need I say more.
